Key Responsibilities of the Pharmacy/Retail Supervisor

Directs, manages, and supervises daily administrative operations to ensure highest quality service response and delivery
Develops operational and financial outcome measures
Implements and evaluates department policies and procedures
Assesses program effectiveness and facilitates continuous process improvement
Develops and supervises staff through feedback and appropriate HR tools
Evaluates computer-based information and dispensing systems
Manages purchasing and inventory functions for cost-effective management
Facilitates staff professional growth and learning opportunities
Prepares monthly progress reports identifying areas of improvement
Participates in departmental training and quality assurance programs
Engages in hospital educational programs to maintain skill levels

Requirements of the Pharmacy/Retail Supervisor

Five years professional experience with two years of management experience
Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy; PharmD preferred including 1-year residency
Current and valid state Pharmacy license, required
BLS certification within 30 days of hire
