Pharmacist - Inpatient

Location: Westminster, CO

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Days, 10-hour shifts starting at 5:30 AM, 7:30 AM, 9:30 AM, or 1:00 PM (no nights); weekend rotation every 3rd to every other Saturday and Sunday

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $70 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Verify medication orders accurately across housewide units including ED, Med Surg, OB, and NICU
• Provide medication information and clinical support to healthcare teams
• Check medication fulfillment including Pyxis batches, IV batches, and first doses
• Collaborate with 1-3 pharmacy technicians per shift to ensure smooth workflow
• Maintain patient safety through diligent order verification and drug utilization review

Qualifications

• Active Colorado Pharmacist license required
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• Minimum 3 years of inpatient pharmacist experience strongly preferred
• Epic experience as a pharmacist highly preferred
• Willingness to work weekends and holidays as needed

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in Epic, Pyxis, and Carousel medication dispensing systems
• Strong order verification and medication information skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced inpatient pharmacy setting
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
