Roles & Responsibilities
- Round with patient care teams to provide expert medication recommendations
- Design and implement oncology treatment protocols using Epic Beacon
- Facilitate seamless transitions of care to outpatient oncology pharmacists
- Evaluate and process non-formulary medication requests
- Coordinate specialized medications for complex patient cases
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a high-acuity academic medical center
Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted Pharmacist license in Texas (or compact license eligible)
- Minimum 3 years of hospital pharmacy experience required
- BLS certification required upon start
- EPIC experience strongly preferred
- Excellent clinical judgment and communication skills
Knowledge & Skills
- In-depth knowledge of oncology pharmacotherapy and treatment protocols
- Proficiency with Epic and Epic Beacon systems
- Strong clinical decision-making and patient counseling abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, academic medical environment
- Team-oriented mindset with a focus on patient safety
