Schedule / Job TypeContract | Nights | 7 on / 7 off | Wednesday through Wednesday, 8:00 PM – 6:30 AM | Every other weekend included
Key Responsibilities- Perform order validation, kinetic dosing, and medication verification prior to distribution across all hospital areas including ED, ICU, Med/Surg, ARU, OB, BHS, Cath Lab, Surgery, and outpatient infusion
- Fill outpatient prescriptions for ED patients during overnight hours
- Oversee and support pharmacy compounding activities during the night shift
- Respond to and advise nursing staff on medication-related questions throughout the shift
- Operate as the sole pharmacist on duty overnight, working alongside one pharmacy technician
Required Qualifications- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree
- Active Nebraska State Pharmacist License
- Minimum of 1 year of hospital pharmacy experience (acute care setting required)
- Ability to work independently as the sole overnight pharmacist on duty
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience with Epic EMR
- Familiarity with Pyxis ADCs and IV prep compounding software
- Exposure to a broad range of hospital departments including ED, ICU, and surgical services
