Key Responsibilities- Review all medication orders received from physicians and physician extenders, verifying drug, dose, frequency, and route of administration prior to dispensing
- Evaluate patient allergies, past medical history, drug interactions, and lab information to identify and resolve potential clinical conflicts
- Maintain inventory control within the pharmacy department
- Provide drug information support to other members of the healthcare team
- Oversee pharmacy students and technicians in the preparation of medications to ensure accuracy and safety throughout the medication use process
- Collaborate with the healthcare team on continuum of care planning and discharge planning
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree from a College of Pharmacy accredited by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education
- Active Pennsylvania Pharmacist License
Preferred Experience / Skills- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a hospital setting, or completion of Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE) in a clinical setting
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
