Inpatient Pharmacist – Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC), Fort Sam Houston, TX

Kiwi Healthcare is seeking experienced Inpatient Pharmacists to support the U.S. Army at Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC) in San Antonio, Texas.

• Compensation: Up to $71.00/hour on W2 (approximately $147,000 annually)
• Contract Duration: 5 years
• Schedule: 7 days on / 7 days off
• Shift: Typically 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM, with rotating day/night shifts
• Some on-call and overtime may be required.

The Inpatient Pharmacist will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize drug therapy, review and interpret inpatient medication orders, prepare and verify medications, perform pharmaceutical calculations, compound and dispense medications, and ensure compliance with pharmacy policies and procedures.

The pharmacist will also support controlled substance management, hazardous medication handling, medication safety and quality assurance, and provide training and education to pharmacy technicians, pharmacists, residents, and other healthcare professionals. The pharmacist may also be designated as a Code Responder and respond to Code Blue events.
