Contract | 13-Week Assignment | Evenings (2:30 PM – 1:00 AM) | 7 on / 7 off (Thursday–Wednesday) | 36 Guaranteed Hours per Week | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Use EPIC Dispense Prep to verify and check medications, kits, crash carts, prepacked items, and other pharmacy products as needed
- Oversee central pharmacy operations during the evening shift, serving as the primary pharmacist for product verification
- Check and verify medication products including IVs, premade IVs, creams, and insulin pens
- Verify that code carts have been restocked correctly and completely
- Coordinate workflow within the central pharmacy and redirect pharmacy technicians to pertinent tasks as needed
- Collaborate with other pharmacists who are performing order review within the EHR
Required Qualifications
- Active Missouri Pharmacist Licensure
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) only
- Minimum of 1 year of pharmacist experience; new graduates will be considered
- Flu vaccination or approved exemption required seasonally (November 1 – April 1); declinations are not accepted
- Ability to work onsite 100% of the time
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience with EPIC pharmacy systems, particularly Dispense Prep
- Experience in a central pharmacy or acute care hospital pharmacy setting
- Comfort overseeing and coordinating the workflow of pharmacy technicians
