Key Responsibilities
- Compound, prepare, mix, manufacture, and dispense medications using a high level of technical and organizational skill
- Oversee the proper handling, usage, and storage of drugs within the pharmacy
- Maintain departmental standards and translate policies and procedures into daily operational and clinical activities
- Supervise and train assigned pharmacy technicians and assume responsibility for technical support activities within the pharmacy department
- Apply critical thinking abilities to support safe and effective medication management
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy
- Active Pharmacist license in the state of practice
- All licensures and certifications required to fulfill pharmacist duties at the state level
- Current Epic experience is required; candidates must have both Epic and Cerner experience within the last 5 years
- Each position listed in work history must include the charting system used; if multiple EMR systems were used in a single role, dates clarifying usage of each system must be provided
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or related field
- Two or more years of pharmacy technician or clinical pharmacist experience, including specialization in a regulatory area
- One or more years of hospital pharmacy experience
