Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift | Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM | No Weekends | No Holidays

Key Responsibilities

• Serve in a lead capacity within the pharmacy department, overseeing day-to-day technician operations
• Mix and prepare chemotherapy medications in accordance with established safety and compliance protocols
• Dispense medications utilizing the Pyxis automated dispensing system
• Ensure accurate and timely medication preparation and distribution
• Maintain compliance with all applicable pharmacy regulations and facility standards
• Float within the health system as operationally needed

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months of pharmacy technician experience
• Demonstrated training and competency in mixing chemotherapy medications
• Active certification through NHA (National Healthcareer Association) or PTCB (Pharmacy Technician Certification Board)
• Active or pending Washington State Pharmacy Technician license (proof of application required at time of submission; active license not required at submission; start date may be delayed up to 8 weeks for licensure processing)
• Two professional references from the past 2 years, with at least one from a supervisor
• Candidate must secure independent housing on San Juan Island

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Epic electronic health records system
• Prior travel pharmacy technician experience
• Familiarity with Pyxis medication dispensing systems
