    Key Responsibilities
    • Prepare and dispense medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, including picking up drug orders from nursing stations and delivering medications to the appropriate patient care areas
    • Perform sterile and non-sterile compounding in compliance with USP 795, 797, and 800 standards, including aseptic transfer of medications from ampules and vials into syringes and IV bags
    • Maintain accurate records for controlled substances, narcotics sign-out logs, medication administration records, and all pharmacy financial and quality improvement documentation
    • Manage drug inventory in accordance with the Drug Formulary, including ordering, receiving, storage, and restocking of unit dose medication boxes and general pharmacy stock
    • Assist with accurate billing and crediting of patient medications and participate in semi-annual pharmacy inventory
    • Conduct monthly inspections of patient care units and other areas where drugs are dispensed, administered, or stored, and promote a high standard of patient and employee safety
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Pharmacy Technician licensure or registration as required by the state of Pennsylvania
    • Knowledge of and ability to comply with USP 795, 797, and 800 guidelines
    • Proficiency in reading, analyzing, compounding, and recording information based on Master Formulation Records
    • Demonstrated ability to apply aseptic technique for sterile compounding and IV admixture preparation
    • All required training, licensures, CEUs, and in-services must be current
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Prior experience in a hospital or inpatient pharmacy setting
    • Familiarity with unit dose dispensing systems and controlled substance management procedures
    • Experience participating in pharmacy quality improvement initiatives and inventory management
