Pharmacy Technician – Inpatient IV Compounding

Schedule / Job TypeContract | Full-Time | Onsite | Days | 8-Hour Shifts | 40 Hours per Week | 13-Week Assignment | Every Third Weekend and Holiday Rotation
Key Responsibilities- Perform IV compounding in an inpatient pharmacy clean room environment
- Compound parenteral nutrition (TPN) preparations accurately and in compliance with facility protocols
- Prepare and handle chemotherapy and hazardous drug compounds following applicable safety standards
- Operate Pyxis automated dispensing systems and maintain clean room standards in a fast-paced oncology IV room setting
- Utilize compounding software and electronic health record systems to support pharmacy operations
- Float to other facility locations within the health system as needed
Required Qualifications- Minimum 1 year of IV room experience required
- Sterile compounding experience required
- Active PTCB or CPhT certification required
- Active Wisconsin Pharmacy Technician license required
- Experience with TPN compounding required
Preferred Experience / Skills- Chemotherapy and hazardous drug handling experience highly preferred
- Experience with Abacus/Baxa compounding software, Repeater pump, Simplifi, or SoleSource software preferred
- EPIC electronic health record experience highly preferred
- Media Fill Test certification preferred
