Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an acute care hospital and outpatient clinic setting, requiring 2+ years of experience in both outpatient and acute care.

Details

• Work spans a 60-bed acute care hospital and two outpatient clinics
• Team includes 3 PTs, 3 PTAs, 2 OTs, 1 COTA, and 1 SLP on day shift
• Patient ratio of 9-11 patients per day per FTE
• Equipment includes PT modalities, pool, cardiovascular equipment, Biodex balance system, and fitness center
• EMR: Cerner used in acute care, Nethealth Xfits (formerly ReDoc) used in outpatient setting
• Schedule is 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Weekend rotation every 5th weekend, seeing only priority patients for 2-3 hours on Saturday with no Sunday visits

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience required, including both outpatient and acute care settings
• PT license in the State of NC required if applicable
• Experience with therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, vestibular rehab, balance training, and gait training required
• Orthopedic, sports medicine, spine, or manual therapy experience preferred
• Vestibular, vertigo, or stroke rehabilitation experience preferred
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
• One professional reference required

• Responsibilities include evaluation and treatment across acute care and outpatient settings
• Team-oriented, outgoing personality is a strong fit for this unit
• Dress code: purple (eggplant) scrubs for acute care, business attire or polo and khakis for outpatient
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; no local candidates accepted
• No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months
