Job Opportunity – Physical Therapist, Inpatient Rehabilitation – Topeka, KS 66606

Start Date: October 7, 2026

Location: Topeka, Kansas

Schedule: Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM), 40 hours per week. Three weekend days per six-week schedule. Assignment duration of 13 weeks.

Highlights:

• Inpatient physical therapy position treating diverse patient populations across multiple units including Emergency Department, Orthopedic/Spine, Rehabilitation, Telemetry, and Medical-Surgical units
• Manageable caseload with approximately 7 patient visits per day and daily census of 50 therapy patients
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, radiology, social services, and rapid response teams
• Treat a variety of diagnoses including orthopedic surgeries (THA, TKA, TSA, hip fractures), neurological conditions (CVA, Parkinson's), spine surgeries, lower extremity amputations, and CABG surgeries
• First-time travelers welcome with supportive orientation program
• Epic charting system experience preferred

Requirements:

• Active Kansas Physical Therapy license required at time of submission
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum of 1 year of physical therapy experience
• Acute care and inpatient rehabilitation experience strongly preferred
• Must reside outside 50-mile local radius
• Proficiency in evaluation, treatment planning, gait training, adaptive/assistive devices, and patient/family education
