Job Opportunity – Physical Therapist, Inpatient Rehabilitation – Topeka, KS 66606

Start Date: October 21, 2026

Location: Topeka, Kansas

Schedule: Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts (08:00 - 16:30), 40 hours per week. Three weekend days per 6-week schedule. 13-week assignment.

Highlights:

• Inpatient rehabilitation setting treating diverse patient populations across multiple units including ED, ortho/spine, rehab, telemetry, and med-surg
• Treat approximately 7 patients per day with a daily census of 50 therapy patients
• Work with a variety of diagnoses including orthopedic surgeries, stroke rehabilitation, spinal cord injuries, and lower extremity amputations
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, radiology, social services, and rapid response teams
• First-time travelers welcome with minimum 1 year of experience
• 24-36 hours of orientation provided

Requirements:

• Active Kansas Physical Therapy license required at time of submission
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience
• Experience with acute care, orthopedics, geriatrics, and post-stroke rehabilitation preferred
• Proficiency with adaptive devices, gait training, assistive devices, and patient evaluation
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Must reside outside 50-mile radius from the location
