Job Overview
We are seeking a Travel Physical Therapist (PT) for a 13-week contract assignment. This role involves evaluating patients, developing individualized treatment plans, and providing therapeutic interventions to improve mobility, strength, balance, and overall functional independence.
The ideal candidate is compassionate, clinically skilled, and committed to delivering high-quality rehabilitative care while collaborating with an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluate patients' physical function, mobility, strength, and range of motion
Develop and implement individualized physical therapy treatment plans
Provide therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, gait training, and mobility interventions
Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Educate patients and caregivers on rehabilitation techniques and home exercise programs
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals
Ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and regulatory standards
Promote patient recovery, mobility, and independence
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team
Job Requirements
Active Physical Therapist (PT) license (State of New Mexico or eligible for licensure)
Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program
Current CPR/BLS certification preferred
Previous experience in rehabilitation, skilled nursing, or long-term care preferred
Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills
Agencies must have an active New Mexico Caregivers Account
Must provide valid state or federal-issued identification for facility access
