Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Travel Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a 14-week assignment. The ideal candidate will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to help patients improve mobility, regain strength, restore function, and achieve rehabilitation goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans developed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, mobility training, and functional activities.
• Monitor patient progress and report changes to the Physical Therapist.
• Educate patients and caregivers on exercises and home therapy programs.
• Document treatments, patient progress, and clinical observations accurately.
• Assist with gait training, balance activities, and strengthening exercises.
• Maintain a safe and supportive treatment environment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members.
• Adhere to all professional, ethical, and regulatory standards.

Requirements

• Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) License required.
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current BLS Certification preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a rehabilitation or post-acute care setting.
• Previous skilled nursing, rehabilitation, outpatient, or healthcare experience preferred.
