Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Travel Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a 15-week rehabilitation assignment. The ideal candidate will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to help patients improve mobility, regain strength, restore function, and achieve individualized rehabilitation goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans established by the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Provide therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance activities, and mobility interventions.
• Assist patients in improving strength, endurance, coordination, and functional independence.
• Monitor patient progress and communicate updates to the Physical Therapist.
• Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and safety techniques.
• Document treatments, patient responses, and progress accurately and timely.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and supportive rehabilitation environment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes.
• Adhere to professional, ethical, and regulatory standards.

Requirements

• Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) License required.
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current BLS Certification preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a rehabilitation or post-acute care setting.
• Previous skilled nursing, rehabilitation, outpatient, or healthcare experience preferred.
