Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to support licensed Physical Therapists in delivering high-quality rehabilitative care. The PTA will assist in implementing treatment plans designed to improve patient mobility, strength, and functional independence.
This role requires strong hands-on clinical skills, patient communication, and the ability to work within a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing physical therapy treatment plans
- Support patients through therapeutic exercises and mobility training
- Document patient progress accurately and in compliance with facility standards
- Monitor patient responses and report changes to supervising PT
- Provide education to patients and caregivers on exercises and recovery
- Maintain a safe and clean therapy environment
- Collaborate with physical therapists and healthcare team members
- Ensure adherence to clinical guidelines and care protocols
Requirements
- Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the state of practice
- Graduation from an accredited PTA program
- CPR/BLS certification (if required by facility standards)
- Strong communication and patient care skills
- Ability to work daytime shift (08:00 AM 04:30 PM)
- Prior rehab or outpatient experience preferred
