Job Summary: A Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) is needed in Harrisonville, Missouri. This role involves providing rehabilitative and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with physical functioning disorders under the supervision and direction of a Physical Therapist. The position emphasizes evidence-based practice and supports patient recovery through a variety of clinical interventions.
Job Details:
Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: Valid State Licensure for Missouri, one year of PTA experience, Long-Term Care (LTC) or Rehabilitation (Rehab) experience, PTA license.
Ability to work with supervising Physical Therapist to obtain necessary Durable Medical Equipment (DME) or supplies per clinical requirements.
Able to supervise and support students under the guidance of a Physical Therapist.
Adherence to American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and State Required practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics during professional practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
Active State Licensure when applicable.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in skilled nursing facility (SNF) settings.
Additional Information: Responsibilities include utilizing evidence-based practice to support clinical interventions, assessing patient progress, communicating treatment outcomes, providing counseling to patients and families, documenting all regulatory and clinical information, and participating in meetings, trainings, and conferences. The candidate will support the clinical team and contribute to discharge planning.
