Job Summary
A Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) position is available in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility setting in Texas. This role involves providing rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with physical functioning disorders under the supervision and direction of a licensed Physical Therapist. The position requires active state licensure, one year of PTA experience, and a focus on evidence-based, patient-centered care.

Job Details

• Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid PTA license; active State Licensure in Texas; 1 year of PTA experience, including LTC or rehab experience; ability to work effectively under supervision; strong communication skills; willingness to participate in meetings, trainings, and conferences; adherence to professional practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics; participation in required documentation and compliance standards
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience supporting students under supervision of a Physical Therapist; familiarity with clinical documentation systems; ability to assess patient progress and adjust treatments accordingly
• Additional Information: The role includes performing manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and use of supportive devices. The PTA will assess patient progress, communicate with supervising therapists, document all clinical activities, and contribute to discharge planning. Participation in team meetings and ongoing trainings is expected. The position begins on 10/19/2026 and concludes on 01/18/2027.
