Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Travel Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a 15-week assignment. The ideal candidate will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to help patients improve mobility, regain strength, restore function, and maximize independence.

This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient recovery while working within a collaborative rehabilitation environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans developed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance activities, and mobility interventions.
• Monitor patient progress and communicate updates to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Educate patients and caregivers regarding home exercise programs and safety techniques.
• Assist patients in improving strength, endurance, coordination, and functional mobility.
• Maintain accurate and timely treatment documentation.
• Promote patient safety and compliance with rehabilitation plans.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Adhere to professional, ethical, and regulatory standards.

Requirements

• Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) License required.
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current BLS Certification preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational and documentation abilities.
• Previous rehabilitation, skilled nursing, post-acute care, or outpatient experience preferred.
