Description

American Traveler is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist for a home health position in the Akron, OH region, requiring a minimum of 1 year of acute care PT experience.

Details

  • Home health setting serving the Brunswick, Lodi, Media, Seville, and Wadsworth regions
  • Monday through Friday, 8:15 AM – 5:00 PM (5x8-hour shifts)
  • On-call one weekend every 6 weeks
  • 13-week contract

Requirements

  • Ohio Physical Therapy State License or Ohio Compact Privileges required; license required if applicable
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a PT in an acute care setting
  • Home care experience preferred
  • Valid driver's license and auto insurance with your name listed as a driver
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to create positive impressions with patients, families, physicians, and co-workers
  • Ability to exercise sound clinical judgment and problem-solving in a home care environment
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to prioritize effectively
  • 2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
  • Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration

Additional Information

  • All scheduling and time-off requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration
  • Knowledge of therapy best practices and ability to make appropriate PT clinical decisions expected
