Job Summary Physical Therapist Inpatient (PT IP) for a healthcare facility in an inpatient setting. This position involves providing comprehensive physical therapy services to patients, including assessment, treatment plan development, and discharge planning. The role also includes supervising student programs and contributing to clinical operations within the department.
Job Details
Schedule: Days shift, 10:00 AM 6:00 PM. Full-time schedule with 40 hours per week is required. Start date is 10/19/2026 and the assignment will conclude on 01/18/2027.
Required Qualifications: Current New Mexico Physical Therapist licensure, BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association, bachelor's, master's, or entry-level doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from an accredited college or university in the field of Physical Therapy, minimum of 1 year of experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in inpatient physical therapy is preferred but not required.
Additional Information: Performs comprehensive diagnostic evaluations to determine the physical and cognitive status of inpatients and outpatients. Develops and implements individualized treatment plans with measurable goals, ensuring documentation complies with department policies. Participates in departmental meetings, family conferences, and clinical research activities. Supervises students, volunteers, and staff within the department, ensuring quality patient coverage and adherence to department standards. Demonstrates commitment to performance improvement, maintains community resource awareness, and fosters professional relationships with medical staff and referral sources.
