Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an Inpatient Rehab unit, welcoming new graduates and offering day shifts with no weekend scheduling.

Details

• Rehabilitation hospital setting with both inpatient and outpatient services
• Inpatient unit has 93 total beds with 80 currently staffed
• Patient population spans all ages, with an average age of 65 and occasional pediatric cases
• Approximately 60% neuro caseload (spinal cord injury, stroke, MS, ALS, Parkinson's) and 40% other conditions
• Caseload of 6-7 patients per day, averaging 1 hour each with 6-6.5 hours of direct care
• Day shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
• No weekend scheduling required
• Uses WellSky EMR

Requirements

• Current BLS certification required
• New graduates accepted
• License required if applicable
• Experience with neurologic conditions including stroke, MS, ALS, and Parkinson's disease preferred
• Experience with spinal conditions and post-op spinal surgery preferred
• Knowledge of Neurodevelopmental Technique (NDT) preferred

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include evaluation and treatment of patients with neurologic and orthopedic conditions in an inpatient rehab setting
• Treats conditions such as cognitive disorders, concussion, muscular dystrophy, nerve palsy, traumatic brain injury, and dementia/Alzheimer's
• Black and/or red scrubs required
• Open to first-time travelers
