Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a Long Term Care assignment, requiring MA state licensure and prior LTC or Rehab experience.

• Long Term Care/Skilled Nursing Facility setting
• Physical Therapy unit
• Day shift, 8-hour shifts, 35 guaranteed weekly worked hours
• No weekend or on-call requirements
• 13-week assignment

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of PT experience required; new grads considered with Level II clinical experience
• LTC or Rehab setting experience required
• MA state license required if applicable
• 1 professional reference required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include screening, evaluating, and rehabilitating patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care needs
• Develops and adjusts individualized plans of care based on patient progress and evidence-based practice
• Administers manual techniques, therapeutic exercises, modalities, ambulation training, and use of assistive devices
• Provides consultation to patients, families, and caregivers regarding physical disorders
• Documents treatment and discharge summaries per regulatory and clinical standards
• Supervises physical therapist assistants, rehabilitation aides, and/or students
• Participates in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and facility trainings
• Adheres to APTA standards and state practice acts
• No more than 7 days of requested RTO
