Responsibilities
- Provide general physical therapy evaluations and treatments across a broad age range with diverse diagnoses.
- Develop, implement, and adjust therapy plans of care with goals; supervise and direct the work of Physical Therapist Assistants and other designated staff as assigned.
- Collaborate with referring providers and health team to review patient status, coordinate medical equipment, and establish care plans prior to discharge.
- Document encounters, diagnoses, treatment plans, and prognoses in accordance with hospital policies; ensure timely and compliant communication.
- Create and teach home exercise programs; provide clear instructions to patients and families to support self-care and independence; obtain feedback and return demonstrations.
- Participate in care conferences, rounds, and department activities; assist with equipment fit, DME coordination, and administrative duties as appropriate.
- Maintain current knowledge of regulatory and practice standards (APTA) and uphold patient confidentiality and quality assurance practices.

Requirements
- Active Alaska Physical Therapist license at time of submission
- Education: Entry-level qualifying master’s or doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program OR graduate from an APTA-approved program at the master’s or bachelor’s level with 2 years of proven work and continuing education experience
- Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Flu vaccination required
- Valid driver’s license
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in adult outpatient rehab
- Ability to work in a hospital outpatient setting
