Job Title: Physical Therapist Profession: PT Specialty: Therapy Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: 2 years minimum in acute care, skilled nursing facility (SNF), or inpatient rehabilitation License: Current Physical Therapist license Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Candidates must have 1 year current hospital acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, or skilled nursing facility experience. Candidates must be able to work varied day shift hours. Description: This position offers a Monday to Friday schedule with one weekend per month required. Weekdays off will be provided to balance the weekend shift. The physical therapist will provide inpatient care for orthopedic, cardiovascular, neurological, and general medical/surgical populations. The average number of staff on shift is 12, including a director, lead physical therapist, physical and occupational therapists, and assistants. There are no night shifts for this position. The patient ratios vary based on volume. Equipment includes treatment beds, exercise balls, resistance bands, treadmills, and exercise bikes. Electronic medical record system used is Meditech. Candidates should demonstrate critical thinking skills, patient care experience, and the ability to work as part of a team. Compassion and excellent time management skills are essential for success in this role. The dress code requires grey scrubs.
