Job Title: Physical Therapist Profession: PT Specialty: Therapy Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: Valid physical therapy license required Certifications: BLS certification required Must-Have: - Acute care experience - Experience in Skilled nursing facilities (SNF) or Inpatient rehabilitation Description: On call: No Weekends: One weekend per month, weekdays off to balance out Specific shift: Days, 8-hour shifts Required experience: Candidates must have acute care, SNF, and/or inpatient rehab experience Unit Information: The unit has 42 inpatient rehabilitation beds. Staff varies based on shift and volume, typically averaging 12 staff members. Staff includes a Director, Lead PT, physical therapists, and assistants. Day shift typically consists of a Director, Lead PT, 4-5 PTs, and 5-6 PTAs. Night shift staff requirements vary as there are no night shifts. Patient ratios vary based on volume of patients. Type of equipment available includes treatment beds, exercise balls, resistance bands, treadmills, and exercise bikes. Electronic medical record system used is Meditech. Typical procedures performed include inpatient care for orthopedic, cardiovascular, neurologic, and general medical/surgical populations. The schedule is determined by surgical volume and includes weekends and holiday rotations. Best personality fit includes critical thinkers, compassionate individuals with patient care experience, team players, and those with excellent time management skills. Dress code: Grey scrubs are required; unacceptable attire will be specified. General comments: Position is a contractor replacement.
