Job Title: Physical Therapist Profession: Rehabilitation Therapy Specialty: Physical Therapist Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 40 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Hold license as a Physical Therapist in the state of practice Certifications: Maintain and update PT skills and certifications as necessary Must-Have: - Degree in Physical Therapy - Active license or plan to test for a license as a Physical Therapist in the state of practice Description: Great opportunity for a Physical Therapist in an outpatient rehabilitation setting. The Physical Therapist implements patient rehabilitation programs to improve mobility, function, and strength. Essential functions include evaluating and treating patients for physical therapy and rehabilitation. Utilize electronic medical records to complete evaluations, reports, and discharge summaries. Guide and monitor patient care in all aspects of treatment and follow-up. Supervise PT Assistants and Aides in patient care. Communicate effectively with physicians and healthcare personnel to ensure quality patient care. Ensure accurate patient chart documentation and follow up on prescriptions, test results, and authorizations. Work closely with front office staff regarding scheduling and patient follow up. Possess computer skills necessary to complete job requirements, including typing and use of EMR. Make independent decisions regarding patient care when necessary. Participate in business marketing and referral processes when needed. Adhere to HIPAA policies and procedures. Be familiar with billing policies and procedures, including Medicare and private pay. Proficiency in diagnosis and ICD-10 coding for billing of services is required. Physical demands include being mobile, lifting, and assisting patients as needed. The position requires walking, sitting, standing, bending, and lifting over 50 pounds. Constant alertness for patient safety is essential. No travel is expected for this position. Encouraged to report any concerns regarding privacy policies and procedures. Comply with OSHA, federal, and state regulations.
