Job Title: Physical Therapist Profession: Physical Therapist Specialty: Physical Therapy Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 8 Hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: Physical Therapy License required Certifications: BLS Certification Must-Have: Acute Inpatient PT experience required Description: Candidates will treat an average of 12 patients per day. General patient conditions include general medical/deconditioned, TKA, THA, spinal surgery, general orthopedic patients, and CVA. The position involves working in an acute inpatient setting. Coverage areas include Medical/Surgical, ICU, and ER. Common job duties include providing acute inpatient physical therapy services. The schedule primarily consists of shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with occasional shifts from 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM. Weekend requirements include working one weekend every third weekend. There is no holiday requirement for this position. Employee attire consists of a burgundy polo and scrub or khaki bottoms. Department-specific orientation will be provided to familiarize candidates with the system. The institution reserves the right to cancel up to four shifts per 13-week assignment. The electronic charting system is Cerner. BSN is not required for this position. Candidates must hold the required certifications and licenses. This is an acute care division role within the allied health sector.
