Ensures team members can go anywhere in the house as needed. Verifies and reviews all provider orders. Applies all pertinent medical information, including lab values and vital signs. Demonstrates knowledge of the profound and prolonged impact of chronic illness. Considers the individual’s age, physical, emotional, social, economic, cultural, and vocational status. Understands the challenges an acute care episode has on a patient and family members. Demonstrates clinical competence in the administration of formal standardized tests, scales, and tools.
