Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA or equivalent accrediting body.
- Current, active, and unencumbered North Carolina physical therapy license required to start the assignment.
- Current CPR/BLS certification from AHA or ARC required.
- 2-3 years of physical therapy experience preferred. This client preference is not required but is preferred.
- Experience providing skilled physical therapy in home health settings preferred, including home visits and environment assessment.
- Ability to supervise and evaluate PTAs and home health aides as assigned.
- Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and agency-required liability insurance for conducting home visits.
- Proficiency with basic computer functions, electronic documentation, email, and online training systems.
Assignment Details
- Facility Type: Home Health.
- Shift Name: Days.
- Schedule: 5 x 8 shifts per week.
- Role responsibilities: Perform patient evaluations, provide therapeutic services per physician orders, develop and update plans of care, document patient condition, instruct family and agency personnel, and participate in in-service education.
- Supervisory duties: Directly supervise and evaluate Physical Therapy Assistants and Home Health Aides as assigned.
