Job Title: Physical Therapist Profession: Rehabilitation Therapy Specialty: Physical Therapist Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Full-Time Hours per Shift: 40 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Current unrestricted license as a Physical Therapist in the State of Colorado Certifications: BLS Certification (must be obtained within 90 days of hire) Must-Have: Bachelor’s degree in physical therapy from an accredited program, Doctorate’s degree preferred Description: This position is responsible for providing diagnostic and therapeutic services. The role also involves patient and family education and appropriate referrals as necessary to patients. Maintaining systematic records in accordance with professional and regulatory guidelines is essential. Quality care for all patients is maintained through interaction with hospital personnel. The position encompasses both acute care and outpatient services. Responsibilities include coordinating and directing patient care services for patients of all ages. Ensuring that patient needs are met is a primary focus. Services include patient evaluation and assessment, establishing and implementing a plan of care, and assessing the effectiveness of treatment. Modifying treatment to ensure goal achievement is required. Patient and caregiver education is a key component of this role. Producing quality documentation in a timely manner supports the provision of care. Documentation must adhere to current standards based on professional association and regulatory guidelines. An understanding of treatment costs and financial support related to quality and efficiency is required. This includes budgeting, staffing, billing, and procedural planning tasks. Submitting appropriate, accurate, and timely billing and coding information for services rendered is part of the responsibilities. Educating others using relevant and effective teaching methods is essential.
