Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from an American Physical Therapy Association approved program, or equivalent degree approved by the APTA.
• Current State License as a Physical Therapist in Virginia is required to start the assignment.
• Proof of current CPR (BLS) certification from AHA or ARC is required.
• Current driver’s license, reliable transportation, and vehicle insurance are required.
• 1-2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist in an acute care or rehabilitation setting is required.
• Previous home health experience is preferred.
• Ability to perform clinical assessments, develop and revise Plans of Care, document progress notes, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
• Ability to perform patient education, instruct in safe use of durable medical equipment, and order appropriate rehabilitative equipment when indicated.
• Ability to meet physical demands including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, prolonged standing and walking.
• Must read, write, and speak fluent English.

• Schedule: 5x8 (five shifts per week, eight-hour shifts).
• Local travel required. Candidate must be able to travel to patient homes and may be required to travel locally between client service areas.
