Seven Healthcare are seeking an experienced Physical Therapist to join a dynamic outpatient environment in Santa Fe, NM. This travel assignment offers an opportunity for professionals specializing in neuromusculoskeletal and cardiorespiratory systems to assess and treat patients using physical or mechanical means.

Key Responsibilities of the Physical Therapist
  • Verify physician orders prior to evaluation.
  • Evaluate patients, incorporating psychological and physical issues.
  • Establish goals and plan of care in collaboration with patient and healthcare team.
  • Administer all Physical Therapy treatments and modalities.
  • Ensure equipment safety and communicate procedures to patients and families.
  • Supervise appropriate treatments, including therapeutic exercises and modalities.
  • Maintain contact with referring physician about patient progress and recommend changes if needed.
  • Organize home programs and train patients and families as necessary.
  • Oversee PT Assistants and Rehabilitation Assistants.
  • Maintain treatment records including subjective & objective information, assessment, and plan.
  • Promote the team approach and participate in quality assurance and performance improvement activities.
  • Maintain professional competence through continuing education and professional group participation.

Requirements of the Physical Therapist
  • Doctorate, Masters, Bachelors, or Associates Degree in Physical Therapy
  • Current New Mexico Physical Therapist licensure
  • BLS certification from AHA required
  • Demonstrated skills in assessment/evaluation, decision-making, and time management
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication, and organizational skills
