Job Title: Physical Therapist Profession: Physical Therapist Specialty: Physical Therapist Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:30 AM - 04:00 PM Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum Years of Experience: Required License: Licensed Physical Therapist, Ohio and/or Multi-State Compact license (Required) Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required within 90 Days) Must-Have: - Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program - Evaluation and treatment skills appropriate to the developmental and chronological age of patients on caseload - Professional initiative, objectivity, good time management, and interpersonal skills - Physically, cognitively, and perceptually able to provide patient treatment and assist in the physical mobility of patients and equipment Description: Organizes and conducts a Physical Therapy program to facilitate the rehabilitation of individuals with physical and/or psychosocial disabilities. Directs the patient's participation in selected activities and treatments to restore, reinforce, and correct pathology. Promotes and maintains good health. Performs evaluations and develops effective treatment plans tailored to a patient’s rehabilitation needs. Employs effective treatment techniques competently. Educates patients, families, and caregivers about relevant health information, treatment, and prevention. Initiates and participates in the discharge planning process. Engages in additional departmental activities, including documentation and support of department operations.
