Key Responsibilities of the Physical Therapist

• Perform physical therapy evaluations and treatments per physician orders/referrals
• Complete comprehensive evaluations using appropriate tools and procedures
• Review patient records for diagnosis, medical history, and necessary precautions
• Develop and implement treatment plans with measurable goals
• Regularly reassess treatment plans and adjust as needed
• Communicate patient needs and progress with the treatment team and relevant parties
• Consult with medical providers regarding patient care and discharge
• Recommend and assist with adaptive equipment for patients
• Maintain documentation in compliance with regulations and standards
• Supervise Physical Therapist Assistants and Aides

Requirements of the Physical Therapist

• Valid DPT license
