Travel Physical Therapist (PT) - $2,466 per week in Shreveport, LA

Job Title: Physical Therapist Profession: Physical Therapist Specialty: Physical Therapy Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 8H Days Hours per Shift: 40 Experience: Minimum of 1 year in specialty preferred License: Current Physical Therapist license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS preferred Must-Have: Ability to manage a caseload independently Experience with specified patient types Ability to work with a multidisciplinary team Description: Manager interview required. Position is Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. No call or weekend coverage is required. Department focuses on various patient types and diagnoses. Inpatient rehabilitation includes spinal cord injuries, TBI, strokes, amputees, multiple trauma, hip fractures, bilateral knee replacements, post-cardiac surgery, post-COVID, and medically complex patients. Acute care involves post-cardiac and post-orthopedic procedures as well as medically complex patients. Outpatient care encompasses general orthopedic cases, sports medicine, pediatrics, neuro-specific diagnoses, and spinal patients. Skilled nursing is similar to inpatient rehabilitation. Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Meditech Expanse and Wellsky is beneficial. Support is provided through supervisors, assistant directors, and peer therapists. No floating between facilities unless specified. Caseload management will be fully established by the end of the first week. Weekend coverage for inpatient rehabilitation and acute care positions is generally required once a month. Time off requests will be discussed during the interview. No holiday coverage is required. Scrub color for inpatient is pewter or professional dress for outpatient roles.
