Job Description & Requirements
Physical Therapist - Outpatient - (PT)
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 D Pay Rate: $2471.00 - $2547.00

This ATI Physical Therapist opportunity is based in Seattle, Washington, a dynamic Pacific Northwest city known for its stunning natural surroundings, thriving arts and music scene, and strong, innovative healthcare community. Seattle offers a unique blend of cosmopolitan living and easy access to the outdoors, with Puget Sound, Lake Washington, and the Cascade and Olympic Mountains all within easy reach. Residents enjoy top-rated restaurants, coffee shops, farmers markets, and cultural attractions, along with endless options for hiking, biking, kayaking, skiing, and year-round outdoor recreation. Seattle’s neighborhoods each have their own character, from vibrant urban districts with bustling nightlife and dining, to quieter residential communities with parks, trails, and family-friendly amenities. The city is home to major universities, strong public schools in many districts, and a tech-forward, progressive culture that values wellness and work-life balance. Public transportation, bike lanes, and walkable communities make getting around convenient for both work and leisure. The facility offers a modern, well-equipped therapy environment focused on delivering evidence-based, patient-centered care. As a Physical Therapist, you will work within a collaborative interdisciplinary team that may include other PTs, PTAs, occupational therapists, speech therapists, nurses, and physicians. The setting emphasizes coordinated rehabilitation pathways and strong communication among the care team to optimize patient outcomes. Typical responsibilities include performing comprehensive evaluations, developing individualized plans of care, and providing direct, hands-on treatment for a broad range of conditions such as post-surgical rehabilitation, orthopedic injuries, neurologic disorders, balance and gait impairments, and chronic pain. You will educate patients and families on home exercise programs, safety, and long-term wellness strategies, while ensuring clear documentation and ongoing reassessment of progress. A typical day may include a steady caseload of scheduled evaluations and follow-up treatments, coordination with referring providers, participation in team huddles or case conferences, and time dedicated to documentation and care planning. Patient ratios and visit volumes are structured to support thoughtful, high-quality care, with access to therapy gyms, modalities, and up-to-date equipment designed to enhance recovery and functional independence. Shifts and schedules are designed to support both patient access and staff balance, with options that may include daytime and early evening hours depending on department needs. The environment emphasizes professional growth, with exposure to diverse diagnoses, opportunities to refine specialized skills, and the chance to participate in clinical projects or quality initiatives. Newer therapists benefit from supportive colleagues and mentorship, while experienced clinicians can take on more complex cases or leadership in program development. Working as a PT in Seattle allows you to align meaningful, hands-on clinical work with a lifestyle that embraces both cultural richness and the outdoors. The role is ideal for someone who values a collaborative team, a modern clinical setting, and the opportunity to make a tangible difference in patients’ lives while living in one of the most distinctive cities in the Pacific Northwest.
