Job Title: Physical Therapist Profession: PT Specialty: Therapy Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS Must-Have: - 1 year of current hospital acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, or skilled nursing facility experience - Ability to work varied day shift hours Description: The position involves providing inpatient care to orthopedic, cardiovascular, neurologic, and general medical/surgical populations. Candidates must demonstrate critical thinking skills and possess experience in patient care. Successful candidates will be compassionate, team-oriented, technologically proficient, and capable of excellent time management. The schedule will be determined by surgical volume, and candidates will participate in weekend and holiday rotations. Staffing on the unit includes a director, lead physical therapist, and up to 12 therapists and assistants, depending on volume. Equipment used includes treatment beds, exercise balls, resistance bands, treadmills, and exercise bikes. Electronic medical records are maintained using a specified system. Candidates must be able to demonstrate the required skills to be considered for the role.
