Job Title: Physical Therapist Profession: PT Specialty: Therapy Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Current BLS certification Certifications: Required acute care, IP Rehab or SNF experience Must-Have: Candidates must have the following skills: - BLS certification - 1 year current hospital acute care, IP Rehab or SNF experience - Ability to work varied day shift hours Description: Inpatient care to orthopedic, cardiovascular, neurologic, and general medical/surgical populations. Candidate must have experience in acute care, skilled nursing facilities, and/or inpatient rehabilitation. Home health experience is also considered. Position requires one weekend per month, with weekdays off to balance the schedule. Team consists of a director, lead physical therapist, and a mix of physical and occupational therapists, as well as assistants. The average number of staff on shift is 12, varying based on patient volume. Typical equipment includes treatment beds, exercise balls, resistance bands, treadmills, and exercise bikes. Electronic medical record system used is Meditech. Ideal candidates are critical thinkers with patient care experience. They should be team players who are compassionate, technologically savvy, and possess excellent time management skills. Dress code requires grey scrubs. This facility specializes in cardiovascular care, neuroscience, oncology services, orthopedics, and bariatrics. It is also a teaching facility and ranks among the best in the nation for the services provided. This position is to replace a contractor.
