Job Title: Physical Therapist Profession: Therapy/Rehabilitation Specialty: Physical Therapy Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: 1 Year Minimum License: California PT Board License Certifications: BLS Must-Have: - COVID-19 Vaccine Required + Booster (Medical/Religious Exemptions Only) - Charting System Experience with PointClickCare Description: 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week. Daily patient census is 75 with an average of 1 visit per day. The facility has 99 beds. Patient age groups include adults and geriatrics. Experience in geriatrics, neurology, orthopedics, and skilled nursing facility settings is preferred. Skills in adaptive devices, pain assessment, strength testing, and vital sign monitoring are essential. Familiarity with chronic conditions such as COPD, CHF, MI, and PVD is important. Candidates should be skilled in assessment, discharge planning, and developing plans of care. Proficiency with gait training, post-stroke rehabilitation, and prosthetic training is required. Experience in utilizing therapeutic equipment such as TENS and ultrasound is beneficial. Strong time management skills and the ability to educate patients and families about safety and injury prevention are necessary. Knowledge of reimbursement types including Medicaid, Medicare A, Medicare B, and private pay is preferred.
