Description:
This position involves providing acute care physical therapy services.
The therapist will treat a variety of diagnoses including total hip replacements, total knee replacements, coronary artery bypass grafts, and general medical conditions.
The role includes patient evaluation and development of a plan of care.
The therapist will engage in patient education and implementation of home exercise programs.
Skills in strength testing and vital sign monitoring are essential.
Experience with patients in geriatrics, post-stroke rehabilitation, and orthopedic conditions is required.
The position requires the ability to perform lifting and transfers safely.
Collaboration with an interdisciplinary team is expected.
Effective communication with patients and their families is vital for successful outcomes.
The schedule may include weekends.
Flexibility to accommodate block scheduling is at the manager's discretion.
Physical therapists may be required to float to nearby facilities as needed.
Refusal to float may result in assignment termination.
All required documentation must be submitted prior to the start.
References are required covering the past year of experience.
