Job Title: Physical Therapist Profession: PT Specialty: Physical Therapy Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 8H Days Hours per Shift: 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS Certification Must-Have: Experience with swallow studies preferred for certain specialties Description: Unit includes PT, OT, and speech therapy. Weekend and holiday work is required. Candidates may work either every Saturday or every Sunday. They will participate in a holiday rotation. Uniform: Polo provided; khakis or black pants required. Role includes both outpatient and inpatient responsibilities, with hiring based on specific needs. Inpatient work may include general rehab, orthopedic, or sub-acute care. Outpatient clinics serve a variety of patients, including orthopedic, neurological, and pediatric cases. A specific outpatient location provides orthopedic and sports medicine therapy. Common diagnoses for rehab include spinal cord injuries, strokes, and brain injuries, along with orthopedic cases. General inpatient care includes ortho, medical, surgical, bariatric, ICU, and cardiac patients. Sub-acute care involves patients who may require long-term treatment. Candidates must possess a minimum of 2 years of experience. Experience with swallow studies is required for speech therapy positions. It is preferred that occupational therapists have experience in this area as well. Cancellation policy allows for shifts to be canceled under specific terms. The charting system used is Cerner. A BSN is not required for this position. This role will involve diverse patient populations and a range of clinical settings.
