Job Title: Physical Therapist Profession: PT Specialty: Physical Therapy Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 8H Days Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS Certification Must-Have: - Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience. - Speech therapists must have experience with swallow studies. Description: Unit includes Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Therapy. Weekend work is required; candidates will need to work either every Saturday or every Sunday. Holiday shifts will be included in the permanent staff rotation, typically one major holiday and one minor holiday. Uniform consists of a provided polo and khakis or black pants. Responsibilities include both outpatient and inpatient therapy. For inpatient care, therapists will work with general inpatient, rehabilitation, or sub-acute patients. For outpatient therapy, they will work in two clinics: one specialized in orthopedic and sports medicine, and the other catering to various patient types including orthopedic, neurological, pediatric, and a lymphedema program. Common diagnoses include rehabilitation for spinal cord injuries, strokes, brain injuries, and a few orthopedic cases. General inpatient care will involve orthopedic, general medical, surgical, bariatrics, ICU, and cardiac patients. Sub-acute work will cater to vented patients and long-term care patients. Therapists will receive a specific floor orientation spanning three shifts. The electronic medical record system used is Cerner. Candidates applying should possess experience relevant to the position applied for.
