Job Title: Physical Therapist Profession: Rehabilitation Therapy Specialty: Physical Therapist Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Varied Hours per Shift: 40 Experience: Minimum 3 years License: Licensed as a Physical Therapist in the State of Maine Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Must-Have: Candidates with licensure hits will not be considered Description: The Physical Therapist will provide comprehensive physical therapy services to patients. They will perform evaluative and therapeutic procedures under the order of a physician or other accepted healthcare providers while observing precautions, indications, and contradictions. The Physical Therapist will evaluate and treat patients per department protocols. They will establish a therapeutic plan of care, including long and short-term goals. The rehabilitation services are focused within a skilled nursing and long-term care setting. Therapists will partner with patients and other healthcare providers to provide physical therapy services. The goal is to maximize the patient's functional abilities and independence. Job knowledge and skills required include being a responsible and supportive team player. The ability to work well in high-stress situations is essential. Strong interpersonal skills are necessary. The ability to speak, read, write, and understand written instructions in English is required.
