Physical Therapist (Contract – 13 Weeks) AUTO OFFER Location: New York, NY 10025 Duration: 13+ week Hours: 37.5 per week | 7.5 per day Schedule: Monday to Friday Shift Hours: 8:30AM-4:30PM Pay Rate: $45/ Hour on W2 without benefits.
We are seeking an entry-level Physical Therapist I to provide physical therapy services to a diverse patient population. The position is part of a multidisciplinary team and may provide opportunities to rotate across inpatient, outpatient, and acute services.
Must have inpatient rehabilitation experience.
Responsibilities
Perform initial patient examinations and develop appropriate treatment goals and plans.
Implement physical therapy interventions and conduct timely re-evaluations.
Modify treatment goals and interventions based on patient progress.
Complete required documentation, including evaluations, progress notes, monthly summaries, and discharge summaries.
Coordinate care with other healthcare disciplines when appropriate.
Educate patients, families, care partners, and medical personnel as needed.
Recommend appropriate durable medical equipment and prepare medical-necessity documentation when required.
Participate in discharge planning and provide recommendations for continued therapy and home exercise programs.
Attend clinical conferences, rounds, in-services, and meetings.
Maintain therapy attendance records, patient charges, and statistics.
Participate in the supervision of Rehab Patient Care Associates, volunteers, and students.
Provide additional patient coverage based on staffing needs.
