Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's, Master's or Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
  • Active California Physical Therapy license required to start the assignment.
  • Current BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
  • Experience evaluating and treating outpatient orthopedic and musculoskeletal injuries in a clinic setting.
  • Experience communicating treatment plans and progress to interdisciplinary teams, including referrals to orthopedic and specialty surgeons.
  • Ability to collaborate with clinic staff to identify patient care issues and provide assistance as needed.
  • Preferred: Prior outpatient clinic or orthopedic-focused experience and comfort treating a variety of musculoskeletal conditions.


Assignment Details

  • Facility Type: Outpatient clinic.
  • Shift Name: Days.
  • Shift Pattern: Monday through Friday, 0800–1700 (5x8).
  • Duration: 14 week assignment.
  • Floating: Candidate may be required to float to other clinic locations as needed.

Assignment Overview

Contract physical therapists will evaluate and treat outpatient orthopedic injuries in a clinic setting while working with a team of therapists. Responsibilities include evaluating and treating musculoskeletal injuries, communicating treatment plans and evaluations to medical teams, reporting patient progress to in-house and specialty physicians, and assisting center colleagues in identifying patient care issues.
