Contract | Days | Outpatient | 13-Week Assignment with Option to Extend | Monday–Thursday 8:00 AM–7:00 PM (10-hour shifts); Tuesday–Friday 8:00 AM–1:00 PM (some flexibility)
Key Responsibilities
Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans in accordance with patient needs, goals, and physician direction
Complete medical record documentation in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner including goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with state, federal, and intermediary guidelines
Delegate and direct all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring design of functional treatment programs that support effective return to community activities
Participate in student programs as assigned, providing appropriate supervision, developing learning objectives, and completing student evaluations
Adhere to discipline-specific State Practice Act and all applicable regulatory requirements; maintain professional licensure in good standing and fulfill all state-mandated continuing education requirements
Actively pursue professional development through continuing education, self-study, and involvement in professional activities and organizations
Required Qualifications
Active Physical Therapist licensure in good standing in the state of Pennsylvania
Minimum of 1 year of outpatient physical therapy experience
Demonstrated ability to perform comprehensive patient evaluations and develop appropriate clinical treatment plans
Knowledge of and adherence to discipline-specific professional code of conduct and applicable State Practice Act
Ability to ensure care is provided under signed, valid physician orders and within insurance approval requirements
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience participating in clinical student programs and mentoring physical therapy students
Familiarity with performance improvement methodologies and quality improvement initiatives in a clinical setting
