Key Responsibilities
  • Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans in accordance with patient needs, goals, and physician direction
  • Complete medical record documentation in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner including goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with state, federal, and intermediary guidelines
  • Delegate and direct all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring functional treatment programs support effective return to community activities
  • Serve as an educator to patients, families, students, and coworkers; participate in student programs by providing supervision, developing learning objectives, and completing student evaluations as assigned
  • Adhere to discipline-specific State Practice Act and all applicable regulatory requirements; maintain professional licensure in good standing and fulfill all state-mandated continuing education requirements
  • Actively participate in organizational performance improvement initiatives and contribute feedback through staff meetings, focus groups, or direct supervision channels
Required Qualifications
  • Active Physical Therapist licensure in good standing in the state of Pennsylvania
  • Minimum of one year of clinical experience; new graduates will not be considered
  • Proficiency in clinical reasoning, treatment planning, and goal writing within an outpatient setting
  • Knowledge of and adherence to discipline-specific professional code of conduct and state practice act
  • Ability to maintain compliance with documentation standards in accordance with state, federal, and payer guidelines
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Prior experience in an outpatient physical therapy setting
  • Familiarity with functional quality indicator assessments and letters of medical necessity
  • Experience supervising or mentoring physical therapy students
